Nestled on the foothills of Anuvavi, a picturesque spot known for Lord Muruga temple, Sri Lalithambikai Amman Temple unifies the divinity with the splendor of Mother Nature. Sri Lalita considered as a divine manifestation of the goddess Durga is the chief deity here. The other deities worshipped in the premises are Laksmi Narasimha, Vishnudurga, Ashtalakshmi, Kalabairavar and Sri Dakshinamurthy. The temple is known for its serene location and the practice of Lalita cult.
The temple was built and managed by Sri Lalithambiga Trust. The Trust was founded by Dr. Sri Jagannatha Swami, a learned scholar who is well versed in philosophy and religious studies. The Trust is actively involved in a number of charity services providing education and food for the underprivileged. It also has founded a special division called Sri Vidya Gnana Sabha for imparting spiritual training and yoga.
